Ever asked that question "what can a club offer me that I can't get for free on the internet?"![]()
Well, young member, Will Hammond, can tell you his IMP story that speaks for itself.![]()
Following the passing of his father, Will inherited his dad's Imp project. A fairly solid Imp that hadn't been on the road in decades. It was a daunting task and Will didn't know where or how to even start on it.![]()
Fellow club member, and friend, Dom Smith helped hatched a plan. A team of willing and eager volunteers was gathered and the pair took a week off work.![]()
The car was transported to Dom's garage and with the help of the team, they quickly worked their way through the list of jobs. New brakes and pipes, new fuel line, engine flushed, new ancillaries. The necessary welding was done and a fresh MOT to ensure the car was independently checked over….it passed first time with NO advisories. ![]()
All of this was completed in a record breaking 4 days. So next time you question "why should I bother joining The Imp Club?" Have a think about Will and his smile as he drives to our events.![]()
Dom, Will, and the team of volunteers truly embraced our moto 'Keeping the Imp alive'. ![]()
We congratulate all involved, from the spanner workers to the tea makers. ![]()

Club member, Daniel, has had his car spotted in Devon and sent in to Practical Classics. It appears in the current July 2025 issue. The keen eye'd club member will notice that it's an old photo, as can be seen in the transformation on the back cover of June Impressions magazine that is dropping through club members doors. Either look, we think it's fab!
