Imp Ecosse – General Information

6 Imps in convoy
Ecosse 2013 Convoy

About the event

This long established event has been taking place annually since 1997 and is organised in Scotland by the Imp Club’s Scottish Area Centres. Imp Ecosse does not have a fixed weekend but usually takes place in March or April. Venues vary from camping  to hotel based weekends.

Imp Ecosse is not just for Scottish Impers and is regularly attended by Impers from all over the UK. It makes an ideal start to the Imping year although weather can be variable – in some past years there have been photos of snow!

Imp Ecosse 2020

NB – Ecosse 2020 has been postponed until 2021

A message from the organiser – Edinburgh & Fife ACO – March 29th 2019:

The venue for Imp Ecosse 2020 has already been secured . After three years of hotel based events, it was decided to return to the original camping site based format for this one. Mortonhall was used back in 2012 and is situated just a few miles outside Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh and just a few minutes from the A720 Edinburgh bypass.

On the weekend of Friday 24th April to Sunday 26th April, Mortonhall Camping and Caravan Park will once again play host to Imp Ecosse and the site has plenty of accommodation choices to suit all tastes.  Whether you like the idea of glamping in wigwams or shepherd huts, relaxing in residential caravans or bringing your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent, Mortonhall will be happy to see you enjoy their wonderful site and facilities.

The site manager remembers the Imp Club from 2012 and is very happy to have us back for the 2020 event. He has kindly agreed to provisionally book off almost all of the onsite accomodation for Imp Club members. Contact details, details on how to book and pricing can be found on the Imp Club Events Calendar

For further information on Mortonhall please take a look at their website.
