The 998 cc engine came into use in 1964 as a dry liner block running as GT cars. The cars had rear rads , sport type camshafts ,polished and bigger valve heads ,4 branch manifolds and twin stromberg carbs and gave about 70 bhp.
The more reliable wet liner blocks came into use in 1965/66 when the Rallye Imp went on sale.
The interiors varied according to which ever class the car was entered into either group 1 or 2 as series production cars or group 3 as a GT car which allowed more extreme modifications.
Seats were usually the production item, which in Chamois form is not so bad or seats based on the Sunbeam Alpine frame ( Based on Microcell)
The 1967/68 season saw a more radical spec using webers cross silencers and front radiators and powere was upto 100 bhp wth R20 or R21 cams. Front disc brakes were allowed as a safety item although never fitted to production cars.
The championship winning car of Colin Malkin was a fully stripped out group 6 car with 100 bhp and only 2 seats the rear seat position and engine deck holding 2 spare wheels. Door skins were alloy and the bonnet and boot were lightweight fibre glass. The windows were all in perspex except the front laminated screen. There would have been a 4 point rear cage and single diagonal.
I have some pictures of LWK700F before being restored and in its full 1970 spec.
Hope this information is helpfull
